Herbal and Fruit teas are not derived from the Camelia Sinesis (which is the plant from which real tea comes) but from herbs and fruits that have been used for ages either for medicinal reasons or just for enjoyment.
Herbal and fruit infusions--also know as Tisanes--are naturally caffeine-free, so children and adults can enjoy them. They can be prepared hot by steeping the loose herbs for 4-5 minutes in boiling water. Also, you can make great iced tea with virtually any of our selections.
Rooibos is a bush from South Africa that is also called Red Tea. Rooibos has some of the same benefits as green tea, with the difference that is naturally caffeine-free.
I have been drinking herbal teas ever since I could hold a cup. In Chile, where I grew up, my grandmother was an expert with herbal home remedies for any problem. When there was no need for a therapeutic cup of tea, my grandmother was ready with a perfect cup, to be enjoyed just for its great flavor.
I have wonderful memories of drinking herbal tea with my grandmother. I have always wanted to be able to share the pleasure of a cup of tea with others. I'm excited do that by offering some of my favorite teas online.
